2013 Circle of Lights was a Beaming Occasion
A beautifully lit and decorated Christmas tree is a wonderful and jolly way to prepare for the Christmas holiday. The faculty, staff and students of Saint Augustine’s University decorated more than 50 Christmas trees as part of the university’s annual Circle of Lights tree lighting celebration. The tress will be donated to families in the community.
A highlight of the program was a performance by the University Choir. The students sang delightful holiday songs which had the audience singing and full of holiday cheer. “This annual event is an opportunity for Saint Augustine’s University to acknowledge its presence in our community,” President Dr. Dianne Boardley Suber said. “We want to do our part to make sure some families in the area have a tree to adorn their home this Christmas.”
Faculty, staff and students competed in a tree decorating contest. The winners for the best decorated tree were ABL Educational Enterprises (faculty and staff) and Tau Beta Sigma (student group).
