2013 Award recipients are Dr. Bertha Maxwell-Roddey, former National President of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., civil rights and education leader; Joan Higginbotham, former NASA astronaut and third African-American woman in space; the Ford Sisters, SAU alumnae and significant benefactors to the university; and Mabel Wright, former SAU professor.
