Block party was Falcon hyped
Block party was Falcon hyped The sunshine was bright as laughter, eating, stepping and dancing filled the air for the Falcon Pride Block Party on August 15. However, before all of the excitement, the Falcons did not forget their fellow brother, Michael Brown, the teenager from Ferguson, M0., who died on August 9. During a moment of silence, Falcons showed their support by raising their hands up in the air. Next, the university quadrangle served as the center stage for students, faculty and staff to fellowship to kick off the beginning of the new academic year. Falcons had the opportunity to enjoy watching members of the Greek organizations showcase their stepping, refreshing Italian icees, great food from food truck vendors or simply enjoyed taking a spin in a go cart. One highlight of the day was the free haircuts, which were provided by Sherrills Barber School of Raleigh. Yes, Falcons know how to have a good time and look good.
