Founders’ Week 2014 starts Sunday!
Saint Augustine’s University will celebrate Founders’ Week beginning Sunday, January 26, 2014, with chapel service at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend Joseph N. Green Jr. as the guest speaker. Rev. Green holds a bachelor’s degree of arts from Saint Augustine’s University and a master of divinity degree from Philadelphia Divinity School Philadelphia, Penn. He was the first African American to earn a master of sacred theology degree from the University of the South, Sewanee, Tenn. He was ordained to the Episcopal ministry in 1953. Rev. Green is also a member of the Saint Augustine’s University Board of Trustees.
Throughout the week, a display of the university’s founders will be in the Prezell Robinson Library. Founders’ Week will end with a Founder’s Day Brunch on Friday, January 31 at 11 a.m.
