Summer Camps in full swing at SAU!
If you see an excess amount of people under four feet tall around campus, it is because we’ve started our summer camp season and the campus is alive with young people from all over the city. Welcome to Camp High Hopes! The university has been host to this YMCA summer camp for the past six years. Kiddie Kollege is also in full swing hosting kids from the ages of 5-12 in a variety of activities on and off campus. Staffed by our very own faculty and staff, Kiddie Kollege is sure to be a great learning and fun experience for every camper in attendance. When you see the little ones around campus, make sure to give them a big smile and great Falcon welcome! Kiddie Kollege runs June 17th through July 19th. Camp High Hopes runs June 17th through August 2nd.
The Department of Film & Interactive Media is hosting its 13th Annual Teen Summer Film Workshop. This hands-on workshop is open to teenagers, ages 13-18 years, who have a strong interest in learning the craft of filmaking. This is an intensive 10-day workshop that will meet every weekday, June 17-28, from 9am-1pm. Students will receive hands-on training in digital camera, screenwriting, shooting in our soundstage, camera angles, composition of shot, sound, casting, auditioning, and acting for the camera, and more. By the end of the workshop, students will have completed a short video.
